Research project analyzing areas and certain buildings in Oslo.

Our building of focus was an entire block, named "Sundtkvartalet"

TOWN HALL IN LARVIK

School project where my study-partner and I had to design a model for a suiting town hall for Larvik, a rather small town a couple of hours outside Oslo.

The town is characterized by a lot of small old wooden buildings and a history of craftsmanship, and we have tried to make the town hall reflect the identity of the town.
The town hall consists of 4 buildings that divide the different programs, and they all have a slightly different character. One of the buildings is an existing old log building, where we have changed the inside.

A room for an ear.

Silence. As in nothing

the nothing is there, in between

the in between makes the shape.

Without noise, you would'nt know silence

Without silence, you would'nt know noise

This was our very first assignment in the very first semester when I started my studies at AHO
